Biography:

Priscilla "Priss" Reeves was born in Maryland to Richard and Priscilla Reeves. Priss and her family were the enslaved property of Joseph and Mary Lyles Coombs. 

In 1814, Priss and her family along with several other enslaved people escaped from Mary L. Coombs to British ships that were lying the Potomac River. At the time of the escape Priss was 18 years of age.
