List of Slaves Connected to Jerningham Drury

Jack Offer was committed to the jail of Anne Arundel County in 1809 as a runaway from Jerningham Drury. He was described as 22 years old and of a dark complexion.

Washington listed in the Drury diary, to be freed September 1, 1826.

William "Will" Hawkins was freed by deed from Jerningham Drury December 25, 1805. Prior to his manumission, Drury placed an ad offering $15 for the return of Will who ran away July 15, 1805.

William "Ned" the son of Susan  was born February 7th, 1822  and is listed to be freed September 1, 1830

Roana was listed in the Drury diary to be freed December 1, 1826.

Dinah Offer was the mother of Mariah, Susan, and Michael.

Mariah "Riah"- Daughter of Dinah was born August 1805. She is listed to be freed August 1826 in his diary, however in his inventory it is stated that she is to be freed in December of 1826.

Benjamin was the son of Mariah born April 1821. He is listed in the Drury diary to be freed April 1846. In Drury's inventory, Benjamin was valued at $180.

Dinah, daughter of Mariah, and granddaughter of Dinah Offer was born November 1822 and was listed to be freed November 1843. She was valued at $110 in Drury's inventory.

Susan, daughter of Dinah, was born  July 1807 at the Drury-Woods Property in Anne Arundel County. She is listed in his diary to be freed July 1828. According to his inventory she is to serve for two years and was valued at $30.

Edward was the son of Susan born February 17,1820 and is listed to be freed February 20, 1847. Edward was valued at $150 in Drury's inventory.

Michael, son of Dinah was born May 1810. Michael is listed to be freed May 1835

Sarah was freed by Manumission January 1, 1823. She is the mother of Richard and Thomas.

Richard, son of Sarah, was born November 1817. He is listed in Drury's diary to be freed November 1842. Richard was valued at $180in Drury's inventory.

Thomas son of Sarah born November 1819 is listed in the Drury diary to be freed in 1844. Thomas was valued at $180 in Drury's inventory.

Flora was a slave at the home of Jerningham Drury in Anne Arundel County. She was the mother of Matilda, Sydney, Hillary and Luretta. Flora was to be manumitted  September 1, 1815 by Jerningham Drury through a deed dated November 9, 1805.

Hillary, child of Flora, was born December 27, 1811. Could possibly be the child of Jerningham Drury as he is listed with Drury's other children by name and date of birth. He is also the only slave who has an exact date of birth.

Luretta child of Flora was born December 1813.

Matilda the daughter of Flora was born June 1807. She is listed to be freed June 1828.

Sydney the daughter of Flora was born March 1810.

Jenny was listed in the inventory of Jerningham Drury, which states that Jenny 15 years old to serve for 9 years. Jenny was valued at $180 in Drury's inventory.

Samuel is listed in the diary of Jerningham Drury under the Negroes to be freed, but there is no date listed. Sam was 1 year old in Drury's inventory and is listed to serve for 24 years and is valued at $30.

Daniel is listed in the diary of Jerningham Drury under the Negroes to be freed, but there is no date listed. Daniel was 4 months old in Drury's inventory and is listed to serve for 25 years and is valued at $20.
