Notley Hall
MSA SC 5496-016068
Property, Prince George's County, Maryland,

Biography:
Notley Hall was the Home of the Rozier Family. It sat on a tract of land known as Admirathoria located in the Piscataway Hundreds. The original Admirathoria tract belonged to George Thompson. Notley Hall was in the Rozier Family for many generations. Daniel Carroll married Ann Rozier daughter of Notley Rozier on the plantation in the early 1700’s. Notley Hall was the home of Henry Rozier until his death. At this point the land was divided between Henry’s Mother Maria Rozier Daingerfield, and his two sons Charles and Francis Rozier. According to the 1861 Assessment Records Maria Rozier Daingerfield owned 400 acres of Notley Hall and Francis Rozier also owned 400 acres on the Property. In 1871 Francis owned 425 acres of Notley Hall. At this time Maria Daingerfield was deceased and her land was probably divided amongst her children and grandchildren.
