Samuel Fall (b. circa 1835 - d. ?)

Fled from Slavery, Cecil County, Maryland, 1856

Biography:

At age twenty-one, Samuel Fall successfully escaped Cecil County, Maryland with fellow slaves Henry Chambers, John Chambers, and Jonathan Fisher.  Before he fled, Samuel was owned by William Rybold.  Though little has yet been recovered about his life after escape, Fall is known to have reached Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was aided there by individuals connected with the Underground Railroad.
