Legislative
Update
Our 2010 legislative year officially ended
on September 30. For the second year in a row, we tied an all-time
record for enactments. We ended the year with 93
enactments, which ties the record (set in 1996) for most enactments
in an even-numbered year. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to
make this year such a success.

Changes in
Chicago
We are pleased to announce two new
additions to the ULC Chicago staff. The first is Theresa Drda who
recently joined the ULC staff as Administrative Assistant, and
replaces Karen Lancaster. Theresa can be reached at theresa.drda@nccusl.org.
The second is Casey Elliott, who replaces
Joan Hollick as the ULC's Legislative Assistant. Casey is a recent
graduate of the University of Utah, and will be providing support to
the legislative staff. Casey can be reached at casey.elliott@nccusl.org.
While we are delighted with the addition of
Theresa and Casey to our staff, we are saddened to report that
Melissa "Missy" Walls, ULC Development Director, will be leaving the
Chicago office as of October 29. Missy is moving soon to
Washington, DC, and we wish her all the best in her new endeavors.
Good luck, Missy! | |
