ANNAPOLIS - Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr., today announced his appointments to the newly formed 21-member Commission on Housing Policy for the State of Maryland. Governor Ehrlich issued an executive order creating the Commission in March 2003. As charged by Executive Order 01.01.2003.10, the Commission will recommend to the Governor specific and measurable actions to increase and preserve quality affordable housing in all Maryland communities.
“Affordable housing is a top priority of the Ehrlich-Steele Administration,” said Governor Ehrlich. “This Commission is charged with shaping our State’s housing and community development policies to meet the needs of families, senior citizens, and underserved populations that have not been adequately addressed by the private market,” said Governor Ehrlich.
The 21-member Commission will be chaired by Victor L. Hoskins, Secretary, Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). The Commission members are:
