The AT Connection

Tech Connections has developed a resource called The AT Connection that will help to make AT user information more readily available. The AT Connection is a web-based forum where AT users confidentially post product reviews and exchange information with other consumers, rehabilitation and education staff, and other interested persons. There is no cost or commitment for use of the resource. The AT Connection is supported by Tech Connections, which is funded through a grant from the Nation Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR).

ADAPT to March from Philly to D.C.

The National Disability rights activist group plans to march from Philadelphia to Washington D.C., from September 4 to September 17 in hopes of garnering support for MiCASSA legislation. MiCASSA, the Medicaid Community Assistance Services and Supports Act, can be read about online at www.lifeonwheels.org.

Welcoming People with Disabilities

This is a free web course designed to help service providers develop a better understanding of accessibility and accommodation issues for people with physical, sensory, psychiatric, or cognitive disabilities. A combination of lessons and case studies explore the legal and procedural aspects of serving customers with disabilities.
