You Will Dream New Dreams: Inspiring personal stories by parents of children with disabilities
Dear Colleague,
"You Will Dream New Dreams: Inspiring personal stories by parents of
children with disabilities," a book that I co-edited with Kim Schive, is
getting rave reviews. We asked "veteran" parents to tell the stories
they wish they could have heard when they learned of their child's
disability or special health care need. Our book includes 63 essays by
parents of children with many different disabilities.
On May 20, Ann Landers will write: "...an inspiring and helpful book
for all parents of children with disabilities. They [essay authors] speak
with the authenticity of their experiences and optimism for the future."
Here are two other reviews:
"How generously these parents have shared their feelings-crowned with
hope-in the pages of this exceedingly helpful book." Fred Rogers,
creator and host of Mister Rogers Neighborhood
"...a remarkable parent's support group in print. Essential for all
consumer health collections."

Dear Tapping Folks-
I enjoy your Tapping Technology newsletter and thought you might enjoy knowing about my latest book, entitled: Then What? A Funquiry Into the Nature of Technology, Human Transformation, and Marshall McLuhan (who was a teacher of mine in the 1970s). It will come out this spring as an e-book and a "p-book" (that is, a conventional paper-based book). It is part fiction and part report about living, learning, and working in the digital age based on my 20 years as an educational technologist. Reviews are attached.
Above all, the book is a lot of fun. I have created an animated web site about it (complete with reviews, character sketches, original music and more) which I invite you to look at:
