PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif., December 11, 1999 - TopTutors.com, the country's leading real-time online tutoring company, has received a major investment from the Internet's most successful technology incubator, idealab!, and idealab! Capital Partners. This investment provides TopTutors.com with the capacity for swift growth in the education and consumer markets.
TopTutors.com uses state-of-the-art proprietary technology to provide quality tutoring for students around the country. With TopTutors.com, students learn from credentialed teachers who deliver personalized instruction as they tutor in real-time via the Internet.

The TopTutors.com service is accessed through a home computer and the Internet by both the student and the tutor at a pre-scheduled time. Using audio headsets and the company's innovative software, the tutor and student are in constant audio communication throughout the one-to-one tutoring session. The tutoring sessions include interactive lessons and an incentive program designed to motivate and reward students for their efforts.
The TopTutors.com pilot program was initiated in 1999 with very positive results. "The parents commented on the success their children had with the program.
