According to USA Today, "Every 7.7 seconds, someone in the world turns 50, and the profit-driven digital economy sets its sights on them." There's even a website to accomodate the needs and interests of this population: www.thirdage.com. Don Rabush, Ph.D., officially "retired" as a Professor of Deaf Education at Western Maryland College several years ago, but stays active working as a part-time consultant for MDTAP, as Development Director for The American Society for Deaf Children (ASDC),and still finding time to volunteer in assisting political candidates and elected representatives on Disability Policy issues. When he's not on-line, you can find Granpa Don, sans binaural aids, just relaxing with his grandkids in the pool, an exemplary Third Ager.
