MDTAP welcomes submissions of essays, articles and photos which pertain to the acquisition, use, innovation, research or complaints about the roles that assistive technology plays, or could play, or did play, in the lives of those of us with disabilities.

TT Author Peter Moore writes from Frederick.Some of our authors have focussed on personal stories, experiences, new technology or local projects. We are particularly interested in happenings and people in Maryland, but will also accept articles from outside the state and country (sorry, payment can only be made in U.S. dollars,and we will require a taxpayer ID # to process invoices...) MDTAP will pay 5 cents a word, up to 1000 words per article. Your article can be longer, but the maximum payment is $50.) The next meeting of the Maryland Governments Internet Users Group will be Tuesday, February 17 at 2 pm. The location is the Lobby Conference Room (C1) of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Buildling in Annapolis, MD.
Feburary's speaker will be Graeme Browning, Communications Director for the Center for Democracy and Technology. Ms. Browning will speak about the issues government should be concerned with as we use technology in communicating and serving the public.
Formerly a reporter for some of the country's most prominent newspapers and magazines, Ms. Browning is also the author of a recent book on using the Internet to transform politics.
