Maryland Technology Assistance Program (MD TAP) unveils its newest electronic service - TAP-Talk: Free access discussion groups where you can visit to catch the latest buzz, ask a question, or share your point of view.

TAP-Talk is an interactive bulletin board where anyone can post questions or comments in the area of disabilities and assistive technology. This latest effort by MD TAP to provide electronic service to its consumers is a product of the latest evolving technology of the web, utilized to its greatest extent.

The Information Age has been with us for some time, and TAP-Talk is a vehicle by which MD TAP can help to deliver this information with startling efficiency and timeliness. After all, what is information worth if not received when its needed? It is TAP's hope that all consumers, with or without disabilities, community organizations and state agencies will all utilize this service, thereby creating a universal local, state, national and worldwide network of support in the area of disabilities and assistive technology.

Currently, TAP-Talk has 4 main areas of interest, with more on the way. There is the "Can We Talk?" - for discussions about all areas of communication; "First We Ask the Lawyers" - a place to discuss legal issues regarding AT; "Wheels and such", for mobility related issues and "Talk of the Town", for local events, celebrity news and General conversation.

MD TAP wants this to be YOUR site. Please let us know your feelings concerning this site and what you'd like to see to make it better, and more useful to you. Send us your input! We want to Know!
