The Second Maryland Technology Showcase was held on December 10 and 11, 1996 at
the University of Baltimore.
The two-day event featured exhibits from some 90 different state agencies, schools, non-profit and
private organizations, and of course a display from Maryland TAP.
One curious visitor was the Honorable Parris N. Glendening, Maryland's Governor. Susan Levy and
Bruce Bailey were able to show the Governor a computer using JAWS screenreader software for individuals
with vision impairments. They were also able to demonstrate an Intellikeys adaptive keyboard with different overlays
to accommodate a variety of disabilities.
