DORS to Conduct Public Meetings in May

The Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) will be conducting public meetings throughout the State in May. The meetings will be scheduled as follows:

These meetings are to provide the opportunity for community members and consumers to be involved in the state planning process and make recommendations for the Division's State Plan. Programs to be discussed include independent living services in Maryland, supported employment services and vocational rehabilitation services.

The meeting agenda will include an overview of current DORS initiatives, the purpose and organization of the State Councils, and the opportunity for comments and recommendations in the following program areas:

rehabilitation technology

supported employment

transition services

methods to reach under-served and minority populations

independent living utilization of community rehabilitation programs

client choice

order of selection
