                Herewith I beg to hand you plan, description, and estimate
    for the improvements of the State House Grounds
Estimate for Grading, turfing, seeding, painting new trees and removal

of superfluous & worthless trees            $2,500
Remove & rebuild fountain                         500

Gray's? Asphalte on concrete bed for
  walks, terraces &c &c                              8000
Asphalte blocks for crossings on

The old material from railing and boiler house to belong to the Contractor
the iron from the railings I estimate to pay for its removal, and for
dressing and setting the stone coping for inside edges of asphalte walk
removal all round the grounds
The material of the old boiler house will almost pay for its removal
    I will do this work in a good an workmanlike
manner for the sum named $14,900
