After Prof. Webster had entered the carriage, and was driven towards the jail, the crowd outside the Court-house dispersed in a quiet and orderly manner. The prisoner's deportment, after his return to his cell, was marked by calmness, and he seemed much bowed down with affliction. Thoughts of his family were uppermost in his mind.
