F30 had accomplished, having all along determined in his own breast rather to die himself than suffer any harm to be done to the prisoner. °' His lordship expressed great satisfaction at this account; and af- ter thanking him for it, and making this further stipulation, that in case his lordship should survive him, he might then be at liberty to relate this story, that it might be delivered down to posterity, the conference broke up. This juryman lived fifteen years afterwards; C. J.
