Matthew Josephson

One of America's most respected biographers and reporters, Josephson, author of The Robber Barons, was working on a book on the Hiss case when he died in 1978. His memoir, Infidel in the Temple, contains an account of meeting Chambers in the 1930s when the two nearly came to blows over what he characterized as Chambers' bizarre behavior.
