Baltimore August 6.1902
The Commission met in the State Offices in
the Merchants Bank Building at 1:30 p.m.
There were present
    The Governor
    The Comptroller
    The Treasurer
    Chief Justice McSherry
    Judge S.D. Schumacher
    Senator Spencer C. Jones
    Gen F.C Latrobe
    Peter J. Campbell Esq
    Judge P.J. Matheos [?] Esq
    T.J.C. Williams

Mr. Josias Pennington the
Architect of the Commission reported that
he had advertized for bids to erecting the
annex to the State House, according to the
plans and specifications he had prepared.
He produced six sealed bids which he
had received in response to the advetisement.
Each bid except that of John Stiltz was
accompanied by a certified check for
$3000 as a guarantee fund.  The
secretary, in the presence of the commissioner
and representatives of several of the bidders
opened and read all of the bids.
Upon motion the bids and checks were
given into custody of the Architect
and he was directed to correlate them
and report them to the Commission
at 10:30 o'clock Friday morning August
8.
On motion the Commission adjourned
to meet in Baltimore Friday August 8 at
10:30 am.
