Annapolis Feb 26.1904
The Commission met in the Treasurer's
Office at Annapolis at 10:30 p.m.  There
were present Governor Warfield, Treasurer
Vandiver, Chief Justice McSherry, Judge
Schmucker, Hon Spencer C. Jones and
T.J.C. Williams, and Mr Josias Pennington the
Architect.
Mr. Pennington submitted his report of what
has been done and his estimate of the cost
of completing the work as follows.-  For
completing and furnishing the Annex $575,000.
For decorating the Court of Appeals building and
putting steel cases in the Land Office,
$40,000.  The Architect also recommended the
decoration of the Old State House at a
cost of $285,000 in order to make it safe.
He representing it to be in an unsafe con-
dition.  Upon motion of Judge Schumcker
a resolution was adopted asking the Legis-
lature for an appropriation of $900,000 so
much as may be required to these purposes
to be used.
Upon motion adjourned.
