Wife: 1. Mary Kittamaquand, daughter of the Emperor of the Piscattaway Indians; 2. Frances, widow of Jeremiah Harrison. Parents: Sir Richard Brent and Elizabeth. Siblings: Fulke, Mary, Margaret. Children: Giles (m. Mary Brent), Richard, Mary (m. John Fitzherbert). Provincial Offices: Council, 1638-1644, 1647-1649; Assembly, special writ, 1639, 1640-1641, 1642, 1648; treasurer, 1639-1643; Burgess (Kent County), 1640; commander (Kent Isle), 1640-1642; acting governor and lieutenant general, 1643-1644. Moved to Virginia in 1649.
