Biography:

Born Richard Chew Zantzinger, April 5, 1899, in Baltimore, Maryland.  Son of Otway Berryman and Sarah "Shelley" (Chew) Zantzinger.  Attended the Tome School; Lehigh University, class of 1922.  Married to Isabel Green; three children: William, Sarah, and Richard, Jr.  Died  September 17, 1976, in Charles County, Maryland.  Buried at Trinity Epsicopal Church Cemetery, Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Prince George's County, 1931-33. Republican.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Farmer and Real Estate agent. Served in the U.S. Army, 1918. Appointed to the State Planning Commission by Governor Theodore McKeldin in 1953. Director, Citizens Bank of Maryland in Riverdale and the Maryland Home Title Company. Member, Society of Cincinnati, Chevy Chase Club, and the Vansville Farmers. Founding member, Marlborough and Wicomico Hunt Clubs.
