Joy R. Walker

Biography:

Joy R. Walker on August 23, 1953. She grew up in the Eastport area of Annapolis and graduated from Annapolis High School. She has two children, and one granddaughter.

Joy has worked in Maryland government since 1972, beginning at the Department of Natural Resources. In 1980, she started working for the Department of Legislative Services, and since 1988 she has served as assistant to Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr. She also serves on the staff of the General Assembly Protocol Committee, and is the Senate President's designee to the Government House Trust. In 2012, Joy Walker received the First Citizen Award.
