Biography:
Born August 5, 1909, in Mechanicsville, Maryland. Attended St. Mary's County public schools; Charlotte Hall Military Academy.  Married; three children. Died July 23, 1989, in Leonardtown, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delgates, St. Mary's County, 1951-55 and 1959-70. Maryland State Seante, St. Mary's County, 1962-63.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Farmer. Member, board of directors, St. Mary's County Historical Society; Red Cross; United Givers Fund; Farm Bureau; St. Mary's County Fair Board; Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department. Director, Maryland Jousting Association. Member, Mechanicsville Lions Club; Knights of Columbus; Southern Maryland Society.
