Born c. 1778. Married Elizabeth Holmes (d. 1847), April 15, 1798. Four children: John Francis; Elizabeth; Margaret Maria (d. 1840); Thomas (d. 1833). Died in Caroline County, Maryland, October 3, 1834.

Captain, Maryland Militia, Nineteenth Regiment, War of 1812. Commissioner of School Fund, Caroline County. House of Delegates, Caroline County, 1808-1810, 1812-1813, 1815, 1818-1820.
