Richard Tilghman Earle (1767-1843)

Biography:

Born June 23, 1767.  Son of Richard Tilghman and Ann (Chamberlaine) Earle.  Attended Washington College, 1878.  Studied law with Thomas B. Hands, in Chestertown, Maryland.  Married Mary Tilghman, daughter of Judge James Tilghman, on December 3, 1801; ten children: Elizabeth Ann, Mary Maria, Susanna Frisby, Henrietta Marie, James Tilghman, Richard Tilghman, Samuel Tilghman, George, John Charles, and Sarah Catharine.  Died November 8, 1843.

Judge, Maryland Court of Appeals, 1809-1834.
