Hezekiah Veatch (1745-1811)

Biography:

Born c. 1745. Wife: Ann. Children: Hezekiah Jr., Nathan Thomas. Died September 30, 1811.

During Revolutionary War, commissioned ensign, Upper Battalion, Montgomery County Militia, September 12, 1777; second lieutenant, April 21 1779; first lieutenant, March 25, 1780. Member of House of Delegates from Montgomery County, 1800-1803 and 1808-1809; Federalist. Assistant surveyor, Montgomery County. At death, estate appraised at value of $2537.54, including nine slaves.
