Biography:

Born Wilmington, Delaware, 1901. Attended Lawrenceville Academy, Lawrenceville, New Jersey, Yale University, and Dickenson College of Law. Moved to Baltimore, 1926. Admitted to the Bar, May 29, 1926. Married Dorothy Wright; two children, Cornelius P. Mundy, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Hathaway. Died August 5, 1965, in Baltimore.

Entered private practice with Marshall, Carey, Doub & Mundy. Later a partner in France, Rouzer, Mundy & Harris. Assistant U.S. Attorney, 1930-1934. Special assistant to the Attorney General, 1935. Special attorney for U.S. Department of Justice, 1935. Returned to private practice and worked as lecturer at University of Baltimore Law School, 1935-1940. Chief enforcement attorney, Office of Price Administration, 1942-1943. Member of Maryland Court Reform Committee, 1954. Appointed to Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, September 19, 1955. Defeated in reelection bid in Republican primary election, 1956. First sitting judge defeated in thirty years. Chair, State Tax Commission, 1956-1959. Judge, State Tax Court, 1959-1963, and Chief Judge, 1959-1963, after Commission became State Tax Court.
