Born in Baltimore, Maryland, c. 1907.  Attended The Johns Hopkins University, A.B., 1928; Harvard Law School, LL.B., 1931.  Married first wife Henrietta Peterson (d. 1987), 1931; married second wife Laverne Zesch.  Children:  George B. P. Ward, Jr., John P. Ward.  Resided in Owings Mills, Maryland.

Lawyer in probate and real estate, Baltimore City and Baltimore County, c. 1931-1982.  President, Baltimore County Volunteer Firemen's Association, 1935. Member, Maryland House of Delegates, Baltimore County, 1935-37.  Member, Baltimore City and Baltimore County Bar Associations.  Chair, Reisterstown Democratic Club.  Member and treasurer, Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company.  Member, St. Thomas Church.
