Born in Seoul, South Korea, December 23, 1965. Attended University of Virginia, B.A. (foreign affairs), 1988; Washington College of Law, The American University, J.D., 1992. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1993. Married Michael Shaw.  Two children.
