Born in Washington, D.C., July 30, 1958.  Attended Boston College, B.A. (political science), magna cum laude, 1980; University of Maryland School of Law, J.D. (administrative law), 1983. Admitted to the Maryland bar, 1984.

Associate Judge, Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, 5th Judicial Circuit, since June 18, 2002. Associate Counsel, Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund, 1985-87. Assistant County Attorney, Anne Arundel County, 1987-2002 (senior assistant county attorney, 1996-2002). Member, Disabled Persons Review Board, and Adult Guardianship Review Board, Anne Arundel County, 1988-90. Facilitator, Civil Non-Family Law Panel, Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, 1993-2002. Paralegal Advisory Board, Anne Arundel Community College, 2002-.
