Biography:

Born April 1, 1776.  Married Sarah Harwood (b. 1777), November 23, 1800.  Children:  Louisa, Jane, Mary (born c. 1804), Margaret (c. 1806-1872), Nicholas, Gabriel H., Lucretia, Sarah, Rosetta (c. 1814-1885), James Lewis (born c. 1816), Marius (1818-1891).  Died November 23, 1829.

Annapolis merchant.  Member, Governor's Council, 1806-09.  Lieutenant colonel, War of 1812.  Member, House of Delegates, Annapolis, 1811-20.  Mayor of Annapolis, 1819-23.
