Born September 2, 1791. Married Martha (6/24/1801-7/28/1878). Known children: Thomas Chamberlaine Nichols (6/28/1833-1/10/1898); Magaret Robins Nicols(d. 12/23/1848). Died July 4, 1872. Buried, Springhill Cemetery, Easton, Maryland.

Justice of the Peace, Talbot County. Clerk, Maryland Court of Appeals, Eastern Shore, 1836-1842. Veteran of the War of 1812.
