Biography:

Born November 2, 1890, in Baltimore County, Maryland. Son of Joseph and Regina (Rex) Hellmann. Attended St. Martin's Academy; Johns Hopkins University. Married to Alvina Haggerty. Died August 22, 1971, in Baltimore, Maryland. Buried at Druid Ridge Cemetery, Pikesville, Maryland.

Appointed by the governor to the Board of Directors, Hospital for the Consumptives of Maryland (Eudowood Sanatorium), 1951-57.  Baltimore County Board of Education, 1952-64.  Secretary of State, 1957-59.  Appointed by the Baltimore County Executive to the Recreation Board, 1959-61; Recreation and Park Board, 1960-64.  Chair, Industrial Development Commission,  1962-64.
