Blanchard Randall (1894-1979)

Biography:

Born March 28, 1894, in Catonsville, Maryland. Son of Blanchard and Susan (Brune) Randall. Attended Gilman School; Johns Hopkins University. Married to Romaine LeMoyne McIlvane; two sons. Died December 14, 1979, in Baltmore, Maryland.

Blanchard Randall resided at 8 W. Mt. Vernon Place, Baltimore.  He was a director of the Safe Deposit and Trust Company of Baltimore in the 1920s and was a member of the Maryland Tercentenary Memorial Commission from 1935 to 1939. He served as Maryland's secretary of state from 1955 to 1957.  At the same time he was secretary of the State War Ballot Commission.  In the early 1960s he was treasurer of the Republican State Central Committee of Maryland.

Blanchard Randall, Jr. resided at 4901 Greenspring Avenue in Baltimore.  He was a member of the Committee on Relief and Aid to the Needy in 1937 and candidate for the U.S. Senate in 1944.
