Biography:

Born in Indian Head, October 11, 1940.  Attended Indian Head public schools; Charles County Community College; Appalachian State Teachers College, B.S., 1965. Married; two children. Died September 29, 2012, in Washington, D.C. Buried at St. Charles Cemetery, Glymont, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Charles County, 1975-94.  Member, Ways and Means Committee, 1975-93; Lottery Subcommittee; Joint Committee on Chesapeake Bay Critical Areas, 1988-93. Vice chair, Rules and Executive Nominations Committee, 1990-93.  Member, Economic Matters Committee, 1994; Joint Committee on Investigation; Joint Committee on Protocol.  Chair, Southern Maryland Delegation.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Army, 1959-61.  Insurance agent.  Member, Charles County Board of County Commissioners, 1970-74.  Member, Advisory Commission on Sports; Wildlife Advisory Commission; Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland; Governor's Task Force on Tourism; Indian Head Bryans Road Business Association; Jaycees; Lions Club; Moose; Elks; Knights of Columbus.
