Born in Winchester, Virginia, January 27, 1949.  Attended Plainview High School, Plainview, New York; American University, B.A., 1970; American University Law School, J.D., 1974.  Married; two children.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Montgomery County, 1979-82.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Attorney.  Executive director, Montgomery-Prince George's Continuing Legal Education Institute, Inc.  Founder and director of non-profit corporation providing free legal services for the elderly in the Rockville area.  General counsel for Congressman Newton 1. Steers, 1976-78.  Member, Rockville Human Rights Commission; Community Advisory Council, Tri-Services Center for Children with Learning Disabilities.
