Biography:

Born George Thomas Schmincke in Baltimore, December 25, 1923.  Graduated from Mount St. Joseph High School.  Married; two son.  Died August 6, 2006, in Glen Burnie, Maryland.  Buried at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Legislative District 32 (D), Anne Arundel County, 1977-90.  Member, Constitutional and Administrative Law Committee, six years; Environmental Matters Committee.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Navy during World War II; received European Ribbon, American Ribbon, Pacific Ribbon with two stars.  Member, Anne Arundel County Democratic Committee, 1974-78; chair, three years.  President, North Ferndale Community Association, Inc.; Greater Ferndale Community Civic Association.  Member, District 32 Democratic Club; North Glen Democratic Club; Citizens Democratic Club; Ferndale Community Club; American Legion; Knights of Columbus; Elks.
