Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, August 9, 1944.  Attended Bishop McDevitt High School, Wyncote, Pennsylvania; University of Pennsylvania; Temple University, B.A., 1971; Georgetown University.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Legislative Districts 21 & 21 (D), Prince George's County, 1979-86.  Member, Ways and Means Committee.  Vice-chair, Prince George's County Bi-County Committee.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Instructor at Providence Hospital, real estate agent, and political consultant.  Student body president, Temple University, 1969-71, vice-president, U.S. National Student Association, 1971-72.  Member, Southern Legislative Council of State Governments.  Executive director, National Youth Pro-life Coalition.  Vice-president, Langley Park Boys and Girls Club.  President, St. Camillus Home School Association.  Member, National Political Science Honor Society, outstanding senior, Temple University, 1971.  Outstanding Young Men of America, 1979.  Republican candidate for Governor of Maryland, 1986.  Member, Knights of Columbus.
