Biography:

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, February 17, 1928.  Graduated from Arbutus High School, 1945; University of Baltimore, B.A.; Mt. Vernon School of Law, LL.B., 1964.  Married Irma M. Hanrahan in 1950; two children, five grandchildren.  Died June 19, 2000.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Baltimore County, 1971-78.  Minority Leader, 1974-78.  Member, Legislative Policy Committee.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Navy.  Contract Negotiator, AAI Corporation, Cockeysville, 1945-74.  Chair, Board of Recreation and Parks, Baltimore County, 1970.  Executive vice-president, Maryland State Fair and Agricultural Society, Inc.  Deputy director, Maryland Department of Agriculture; Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.  Executive director, Maryland State Horse Racing Commission.  Director, thoroughbred horse racing, Missouri, 1985-89.  Director of thoroughbred horse racing, dog racing, and gambling, Arizona, 1989-96.  Member, Maryland State Planning and Advisory Council for Developmental Disabilities.  Director, Lutheran Social Services.  Honorary life member, Maryland Congress of Parents and Teachers.
