Biography:

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, November 9, 1933.  Towson State University, B.S.Ed., 1957; The Johns Hopkins University, M.Ed., 1966, C.A.S.E., 1969; completed Hopkins Fellowship in Dynamics of Organizational and Community Change, 1976.  Married; two children.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Baltimore County, 1979-86.  Member, Appropriations Committee.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Assistant principal, Baltimore County school system.  Served in U.S. Army Active Reserve.  Chair, Baltimore County Youth Commission, 1975-78.  Member, Baltimore County Juvenile Task Force, 1975; Citizen's Committee to Baltimore County's Growth Management Program, 1977-78.  Chair, Legislative Study Group, 1982-83.  Advisory board member, Department of Natural Resources, 1994-95.  Outstanding Young Educator, Timonium-Cockeysville Junior Chamber of Commerce, 1969; Maryland's First Teacher of the Year, Look Magazine Award, 1971; Service Award, Y.M.C.A., 1973; Life Membership in the Congress of Parents and Teachers (PTA), 1973.  Recognized for Outstanding Service to Youth, Baltimore County Youth Commission, 1978; Towson's Most Distinguished Individual, 1981, Towson Jaycees.
