Biography:

Born in Chesterfield, South Carolina, February 10, 1916.  Attended Chesterfield, South Carolina and Baltimore City public schools; University of Maryland; Loyola College.  Married; four daughters.  Died May 16, 2007, in Baltimore, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Baltimore City, 1973-78.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Barber and teacher.  Member, Model Cities Policy Steering Board; YMCA; Boy Scouts of America; NAACP; Urban League.  Member, Frontier Club; Craftsmen Club; Masons; Falcon Rod and Gun Club.  Member, Barbers Local 795; Baltimore Teachers' Union; Baltimore Metropolitan Council, AFL-CIO.  Received Douglass Adult High School Certificate of Achievement for outstanding leadership in the field of education, politics and community action, 1973.
