Born in Cumberland, Maryland, January 10, 1927.  Attended Hagerstown public schools.  Married; four daughters.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Washington County, 1963-82.  Vice-chair, Environmental Masters Committee, 1969-82; Natural Resources Committee, 1968.  Chair, Washington County Delegation, 1975-82; Western Maryland Delegation, 1980-82.

Private Career and Other Public
Served in U.S. Navy during WWII.  General insurance agent.  Exalted ruler, Lodge #378, BPOE.
