Biography:

Born in Mechanicsville, Maryland, May 13, 1922.  Attended elementary school at Mechanicsville; Charlotte Hall Military Academy; the University of Maryland, graduated 1942; University of Maryland Law School.  Married.  Died October 17, 2002, in Leonardtown, Maryland.  Buried at St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery, Compton, Maryland. 

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, St. Mary's County, 1946-50.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Navy, 7th Fleet, as lieutenant j.g., 1942-45.  Chair, St. Mary's County Educational Planning Committee; treasurer, Uplands Community Association.
