Born in Washington, D.C., June 9, 1938.  Attended Suitland Senior High School; Prince George's Community College; American University, certificate in Police Administration; Metropolitan Police, D.C., certificate, Administrative, Supervisory.  Married; three children.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Prince George's County, 1979-90.  Member and vice-chair, Ways and Means Committee.  Member, Juvenile Justice Committee; Special Joint Committee on Transportation; Rules and Executive Nominations Committee; Legislative Policy Committee; Prince George's County Joint Transportation Oversight Committee.  Speaker pro tem.  Chair, Prince George's County Delegation.  Chair, Bi-County Committee.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Air Force Reserves.  Recreation coordinator, District Heights Recreation Council, 1973-78.  Chair, District Heights Bicentennial Committee, 1978.  Chair, Energy Committee, Southern Legislative Conference.  Vice-chair, Southern States Energy Board.  Board of Directors, vice-president, president, District Heights Boys and Girls Club.  Board of Directors, C.Y.O.; Metropolitan Police Boys' Club, D.C.  Shop steward and apprentice committee chair, International Typographical Union.  Member, Retired Policemen Association; Knights of Columbus.  Adult advisor, Explorers Law Enforcement Post, BSA.
