Born in Hamburg, Germany, August 5, 1931.  Attended Cincinnati, Ohio public schools; Kenyon College, B.A., 1953; University of Chicago Law School, J.D., 1956.  Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1962.  Married.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Montgomery County, 1967-78.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Navy, 1956-59.  Director, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, 1970-73.  President, Western Suburban Democratic Club of Montgomery County.  Member, B'nai B'rith.  Member of Executive Board, Montgomery County Civic Federation.  Board of Directors, D.C. Downtown Business Improvement District.  Member, Reserve Officers' Association; Lions.
