Biography:

Born DeCorsey Emroy Bolden, in Oakland, Maryland, November 27, 1924. Son of Emroy DeCorsey and Mary Harper (May) Bolden. Attended Oakland public schools; University of Maryland.  Married; three children. Died in Oakland, Maryland, April 29, 2016. Buried at Oakland Cemetery, Oakland, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Garrett County, 1971-82.  Chair, Garrett County Delegation.  Member, House Appropriations Committee; Subcommittee on Education and Human Resources; Special Joint Committee on Capital Projects.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Navy during World War II and Korean War as pilot instructor for the Navy Air Force.  Businessman. Owner, Southern Laundromat, Southern Apartments, Southern Car Wash, Southern Sanitation Service, and Southern Office Supply. Delegate, Republican National Convention, 1980 and 1984. Member, Garrett County Republican Central Committee; Garrett County Liquor Control Board.  Chair, Deep Creek Lake Advisory and Review Committee, 1983-86.  Member from Garrett County, Tri-County Council for Western Maryland, 1987-88.  Member, Oakland Volunteer Fire Department; American Legion; Knights of Pythias; Woodmen of the World; St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Member and past president, The Garrett County Historical Society. Inducted into Maryland Senior Citizen Hall of Fame in 2015.
