Biography:

Born in New York, New York, January 21, 1924.  Attended New York City public schools; New York University; MIT, civil engineering, 1947.  Married to Del. Rosa Lee Walters Blumenthal. Died, September 7, 2004, in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Prince George's County, 1971-82.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served with U.S. Army paratroops during World War II.  Construction manager, project director and contract administrator for construction of many public buildings in Washington, D.C., Detroit, Michigan, Paducah, Kentucky, and New York.  Member, World War II Memorial Commission, 1991-98.  Veteran Legislator of the Year, Joint Veterans Committee.  Awards from V.F.W., American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Fraternal Order of Police, Air Force Sergeants' Association, John Hanson Society, the Lions, the Elks, and the Kiwanis.
