James Mackubin

1867 Constitutional Convention, Howard County

James Mackubin was born on September 12, 1830.1  He was an attorney and a farmer.2
He married Comfort Augusta Dorsey in 1854.  They lived together at Gray Rock Farm in Ellicott
City until Comfort's death in 1858.  There were no children from this marriage.  After Comfort's
death Mackubin was married to Gabriella Peter.  They lived at MacAlpine, also in Ellicott City.2
There were four children from this marriage; Ella, Emily, Mildred Lee, and George.3

Mackuben was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Ellicott City.2

He died on September 11, 1904 and is buried in St. John's Cemetery in Ellicott City.4
