(Biographical Series)

Joseph H. Nicholson
Anne Arundel County Court Clerk, 1845-1851
MSA SC 3520-13137

1.  Robert Harry McIntire, Annapolis Maryland Families (Baltimore:  Gateway Press, Inc., 1979), 517.  The obituary of Nicholson (see Endnote 3) says that Rebecca Lloyd was the daughter of Governor Edward Lloyd, but no records show that he had a daughter with that name, nor do the years during which he was having children coincide with the birth date of Rebecca Lloyd.  Also of note, Joseph Nicholson, Sr. served in the House of Delegates and when he left office, Edward Lloyd took over his seat.
